Fourth Book

On the 150th birthday of Bengali poet and nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore on May 7 (1861 - 1941) we published the book "Rabindranath Tagore - Wanderer Between Worlds".
Tagore is arguably the most famous poet on the Indian subcontinent. Tagore was not only a poet, but also philosopher, artist, educator and social reformer. He was the first personality outside of western culture, who received the nobel prize in literature in 1913. In his home country Bangladesh and also in India, he is put on the same level as Goethe, Shakespeare or Dante.
In the first half of the 20th century, Tagore was a cult figure in Europe. Today his thoughts are more relevant than ever. He stands for tolerance, cosmopolitanism, self-determination, social engagement, and his closeness to nature is exemplary.
In this book, Bengali and German authors describe a side of Tagore that was little known to the West so far. Discover the new Tagore for yourself!
